Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution

I believe that Jamie Oliver’s idea for a “food revolution” stands to be a great idea. He argues that in the United States (particularly Huntington, West Virginia) obesity is being caused by what we willingly feed the children of America. He understands that he needs to plant a “seed of change” in order to make the country a healthier place.
Oliver’s argument was effective. After watching the first episode it was already clear to me that the way we eat in America, is awful! (pizza for breakfast, really?!) He had evidence that food is literally killing us. He stated that this generation of children is the first generation, ever, that is not expected to outlive their parents. He also had proof that the food children in American public schools were being fed wasn’t natural. It was all processed and frozen for days before it was actually eaten. Any reasonable person can see from this that something must be changed.
After watching this video, it definitely made me more curious about the food I eat on a daily basis. I realize that it’s important to eat healthy and fresh foods not only to maintain a nice body, but also to maintain good health. As for Jamie Oliver’s particular approach to this issue, I think he handled it just fine. When it’s a serious issue like this, you can’t beat around the bush! You need to deliver cold, hard facts—regardless of how embarrassing or hurtful they might be. He started this food revolution with the people’s best interest in mind and they should be thanking him
